What is a reorder level?
A reorder level is an inventory threshold used to identify when replenishment should normally be considered.
How does this template calculate the reorder point?
The workbook uses average daily usage multiplied by supplier lead time, then adds safety stock.
What does REORDER NOW mean?
REORDER NOW appears when available stock is equal to or below the calculated reorder point.
What does LOW STOCK mean?
LOW STOCK identifies inventory that is above the reorder point but close to it based on the configurable status buffer.
Does incoming stock affect the calculation?
Yes. Confirmed incoming stock can be entered separately and is included in the Available Stock calculation.
Should I automatically order the suggested quantity?
No. The suggested quantity is a planning estimate. Before ordering, consider minimum order quantities, pack sizes, supplier constraints, demand changes, seasonality and open purchase orders.
