DIXANI INVENTORY PLANNING TOOL

Cycle Count Planner

Turn your inventory list into a practical counting schedule. Set count intervals, choose working days and plan within your team's daily capacity.

STEP 1

Add your inventory list

Import a CSV, paste spreadsheet rows or enter items manually. You can also import the Inventory Accuracy Analyzer's exported CSV.

Required: SKU and ABC Class. Use Location to distinguish the same SKU stored in different bins.

Accepted columns and counting rules
  • SKU: required item code.
  • Description: optional item name.
  • Location: bin or storage location. Each SKU-location combination represents one counting task.
  • ABC Class: A, B or C.
  • Last Count Date: YYYY-MM-DD. A missing date means the item needs an initial count; it does not prove that the item is overdue.
  • Risk Level: optional Critical, High, Medium or Low. Used to prioritize items with the same due date.
  • Interval Days: optional positive whole-number override for this item.

ABC classes can be imported from the Analyzer or assigned under your own policy. This planner does not recalculate them. Imports replace the current inventory list after confirmation.

STEP 2

Set your counting capacity

Intervals below are editable examples, not universal requirements. Choose frequencies appropriate to your inventory risk and procedures.

Working days available for counting

Capacity is measured in SKU-location counts, not units or pallets. Allow for differences in task complexity when setting the limit. A 30-day interval is not the same as a calendar-month schedule.

Save your work

Browser storage is specific to this browser and device and may be cleared. A downloaded backup is your portable copy. Avoid saving confidential inventory on a shared device.

How to interpret the plan

Due date versus scheduled date

The due date is based on the last count plus the selected calendar-day interval. The scheduled date is the working day allocated within available capacity. Moving a task does not erase its original deadline.

Missing count history

Items without a last count date enter the initial-count queue at the planning start. They are identified separately from items with a known overdue deadline.

Planning assumptions

Future visits assume earlier scheduled counts are completed as planned. Record actual completion dates and regenerate to update future dates. Unfinished historical cycles are treated as one catch-up count, not multiple physical counts.

This tool supports planning; it does not approve stock adjustments, update your WMS or replace site procedures. Review the schedule before assigning work.
