Editorial Policy
This Editorial Policy explains how DIXANI creates, reviews and corrects the content published on this website, including its guides, calculator documentation and downloadable templates.
Purpose and Scope
This policy applies to all written content on DIXANI, including guides, in-page explanations, definitions, formula descriptions, worked examples, frequently asked questions and the descriptive material published alongside downloadable Excel and PDF templates.
It does not apply to the mathematical behaviour of the calculators, which is governed by the formula documentation published on each tool page and by the correction process described below.
Who Writes the Content
DIXANI content is written and maintained in-house. The site is built from practical warehouse, inventory and logistics experience, and content is developed around tasks that are commonly performed manually in operational environments.
For further background on the site and its author, see the About DIXANI page.
Research and Sourcing
Where DIXANI content states a definition, formula or standard, it is written so that the underlying basis can be identified. Content is developed from established practice in inventory management, warehousing, logistics and finance, and from the arithmetic and standards that govern those fields.
Where a figure depends on a convention rather than a universal standard — for example, the number of weeks in a year used for a turnover calculation, or the treatment of a partial compounding period — DIXANI states the convention used and explains the effect it has on the result. Assumptions are disclosed rather than hidden inside a calculation.
DIXANI does not invent statistics, benchmarks, case studies, ratings or test results. Where a value is illustrative rather than measured, it is presented as an example and not as a market fact.
Formulas and Calculations
Calculator behaviour is treated as a matter of correctness, not presentation. Each formula describes the inputs it expects, the units it assumes and the conditions under which it produces a result.
Inputs that cannot produce a meaningful result are rejected rather than silently substituted. For example, negative quantities, negative lead times and non-numeric entries are refused with a clear message instead of being treated as zero or ignored. Where a validation failure occurs, a previously displayed result is cleared so that a stale figure is never shown beside an error.
Naming and rounding conventions are applied consistently across related tools so that the same term means the same thing throughout the site.
Review Before Publication
Content and tools are reviewed before publication against the following checks:
- The stated formula matches the calculation actually performed by the tool.
- Worked examples reproduce the published result when followed manually.
- Units, currency assumptions and any rounding are stated plainly.
- Validation behaviour is documented, so readers know which inputs are refused and why.
- Internal links resolve and referenced tools and templates exist.
Reproducible checks are written for the calculators so that a correction to one tool does not silently break another. Where a calculation is corrected, the accompanying explanation is updated in the same change.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence tools may be used to assist with drafting and editing. They are not treated as sources of fact. Formulas, definitions, standards and worked examples are verified against their underlying basis before publication, and responsibility for everything published on DIXANI rests with the site.
Corrections
Corrections are welcome and are treated as an opportunity to improve accuracy rather than as a criticism. If you believe a fact, formula, definition or worked example is wrong, please report it using the details on the Contact page.
Corrections are handled as follows:
- The reported point is checked against the calculator's actual behaviour and the published explanation.
- Where a source is provided, it is considered on its merits; corrections supported by a reference take precedence over unsupported assertions.
- Where a calculation is confirmed as incorrect, the tool is corrected and the accompanying explanation updated together.
- Where content is confirmed as inaccurate, the text is revised rather than quietly removed, so the page continues to make sense to readers.
Material corrections are reflected in the "Last updated" date shown on the affected page.
Freshness and Review Cadence
DIXANI does not publish content on a fixed schedule. Pages are reviewed when a correction is reported, when a linked tool changes, or when a stated convention or standard needs revisiting. The "Last updated" date on a page indicates when its content was last revised.
Guides that describe a repeatable process are re-read whenever the tools they reference are changed, so that the instructions and the tools stay consistent.
Independence and Advertising
Editorial decisions on DIXANI are made independently of advertising. Display advertising may appear on the site, and its presence does not influence which tools are built or what the content states. DIXANI does not publish sponsored reviews, paid rankings or paid placement of third-party products and services.
Advertising and cookie practices are described in the Privacy Policy .
Accuracy and Limitation
DIXANI aims for accuracy, but the tools and content are provided for general guidance. They do not constitute professional, financial, legal, accounting or engineering advice, and they are not a substitute for your own judgement or for qualified advice where a decision carries significant consequences. Please verify important results independently.
The basis on which the website and its tools are provided is set out in the Terms of Use .
